Mango & Forest fruit Smoothie

Ingredients (2 glasses):

  • 1 cup of frozen mango
  • 1 cup of frozen forest fruit mix
  • 1 cup of apple juice
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 handful of fresh basil (optional)
  • The juice of 1 lime

Put all the ingredients in the blender. For a perfect consistence, the frozen fruit should just be covered by the liquid. Drink immediately or store in a glass bottle for max. 12h.

Here is a manual on how you make every smoothie a hit!

1.     BASE

Liquid : water, almond milk, coconut water, coconut milk or apple juice.

2.     FRUIT

  • Smoothness : Banana/mango/pine-apple/appel/kiwi/avocado/peach/abricot
  • Tangyness : Cherries, strawberries, orange, passion fruit, grapes, grapefruit

3.     Get your GREENS

Spinach, Kale, Cucumber, Fennel, Courgette, cooked pumpkin, broccoli, beetroot

4.     BOOSTERS and SPICES

  • Spices (cinnamon, vanilla, curcuma, saffron)
  • Fresh herbs (mint, coriander, basil)
  • Fresh ginger/Fresh curcuma

6.     Add CREAMYNESS & CONSISTENCE (optional)

  • Nut butters (almond butter, hazelnut butter)
  • Chia seeds
  • Linseed
  • Oats
  • Greek yoghurt (unsweetened)

7. TOPPINGS for extra crunch

  • Shaved coconuts
  • Granola

TIPS & TRICKS

PRE-PREPARATION

-       Freeze banana in beforehand

  • max. 1,5 cm wide
  • Sprinkle with lemon
  • Put them on a tray in the freezer overnight
  • The morning after put them in an airtight bag

The same applies to avocadoes and mangoes !

PREPARATION

-       Boost smoothness :

  • put leafy greens first
  • Add heavy elements on top
  • Grate hard vegetables
  • Put your dried fruit in water

Store in an airtight container to avoid vitamin-loss
